Artist Statement
My work explores the complex relationship between place and the spectrum of time in the city of Niagara Falls. It is a story of a city and monumental landscape tinged with neglect and wasted potential. To the world, Niagara Falls is a wonderful tourist destination, full of life and attracts many visitors each year but the further you get from downtown, much of the city is in disrepair. Droll elements create a visual relationship in the photographs and paint a portrait of the city that tourist boards would rather remain unseen.
